Terrazas Afincado Cabernet Sauvignon

Notes - Following decades of successful sparkling wine production, in 1999 Moët Hennessy Wine Estates and Bodegas Chandon Argentina inaugurated the Terrazas de los Andes winery, a still wines initiative based on the pairing of fine wine varietals to unique altitudes within Mendoza´s emblematic, snow-fed, high elevation vineyards. Terrazas de los Andes has used its 45 years of experience in high elevation vineyards to carefully match each varietal to its ideal altitude. The Afincado single vineyard "Los Aromos" is located at 980 metres. Cabernet Sauvignon is late blooming, with thick skins and firm tannins, it requires more heat to develop its fruity aromas At 980 metres / 3200 feet there are warmer temperatures which help bring out spicy, red fruit and plum notes while moderating vegetal tones.
