Notes - In prehistoric times nut trees grew in thickets throughout Asia Minor. The Turks were the first to cultivate them. This spread to Greece and Italy and over the centuries this fruit spread to other parts of the world with the Roman Empire. Try in in cocktails, in various desserts or with vanilla ice cream.
