Quinta do Noval Vintage Port 1970

Wine information: Quinta do Noval is situated in the very heart of the Douro valley, in the Cima Corgo, just two kilometres from the small town of Pinhão. The Quinta, which is principally situated in the valley of the small Pinhao river, a tributary of the Douro, has approximately 145 hectares of vines, ranging in altitude from 100 metres, at the level of the Pinhao river, to 350 metres at the summit of the valley. With Christian Seeley at the helm Noval is thriving under the ownership of insurance group AXA, ensuring that their Vintage Port remains one of the most sought-after wines. 1970 was a classic Port Vintage, with great balance, good structure, and long-lived wines. One of the absolute finest Vintage Ports of the last 50 years. Declared by all the major houses. The Quinta do Noval 1970 is outstanding.
