Marques de Vargas

Notes - Marqués de Vargas was built in 1989 on the Hacienda Pradolagar Estate in Logroño and was the first project of the Grupo Vinícola Marqués de Vargas. The winery, set in the middle of its own vineyards like a “chateâu”, is located in the heart of the Ebro Valley, in a region known as the "Los Tres Marqueses" or the “Three Marquis”. In this winery three premium single vineyard red wines are produced in limited production. Deep intense black cherry with violet rims, very complex spicy nose with strong backbone and hints of leather, toast and cigar accents, concentrated and ripe crushed berry fruit with blackberry flavours and gamey, earthy notes, powerful tannins, rich and great structure, well balanced, with long finish of much finesse. The wine may be enjoyed now or laid down for five or more years.
