Chateau Pierrefitte

Wine information: Château Pierrefitte is the second wine of Chateau Perron which is a 3.5 hectare estate located in Néac, a district of Lalande de Pomerol. The estate is owned by Michel Massonie and managed by his son, a young and very very talented winegrower. Michel Rolland is the consultant wine-maker. The vines are planted 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc, production is about 20,000 bottles per year.

Tasting Notes: Chateau Pierrefitte is a freshly ruby-coloured wine with an intense fruity / floral scented nose. The palate has a good tannic backbone which contributes a great deal to the elegance and the richness of the wine.
