Wine information:
Domaine du Haut Perron is a 23 hectare estate located in the Touraine AC in the Loire Valley and is owned by Guy and Cédric Allion. The estate extends along the wonderfully exposed right bank slopes of the River Cher, a tributary of the Loire River. The soils here are clay and limestone embedded with flint which is known as ‘Perruches’ in the area. These flint deposits give their wines their trademark crisp minerality.
This wine is a superb expression of modern style Sauvignon Blanc produced in the Loire Valley. It is clear, brilliant and a pale yellow in colour with green inflections. The nose shows aromas of green apples, citrus and white blossom. Full of superbly crisp minerality, well-balanced fruit and good refreshing acidity. Drink as an aperitif or with asparagus, seafood or fish in a slightly creamy sauce or beurre blanc.
This wine is produced according to the principles of
