The Glenlivet Archive 21 year old Distillers Limited Edition 43% Single Speyside Malt

Notes - The distillery was founded in 1824 by George Smith and his son, John Gordon Smith; it was the first licensed distillery in Scotland. The current distillery was built in 1858, near where the rivers Avon and Livet meet. In 1880, the Smiths won exclusive rights to the name The Glenlivet, enabling them to protect their trademark against encroachment by other, lesser quality whiskies. The distillery's most exceptional casks are set aside over the years by each Distillery manager in the 'Archive'. There the chosen casks mature to perfection, achieving an elegance that only a privileged few have the opportunity to appreciate. All aged for a minimum 21 years, some for many more. This special limited release is awash with the hallmarks of The Glenlivet and offering a depth, multi-layers of flavours and almost creamy texture that can only be attained over years of patient ageing. Deep Amber in colour with multi-layered fruits and floral sweetness and almost creamy smooth texture on the palate The finish is rich, long and lingering.
