Newton Epic Merlot

Notes - Situated high on the dramatic slopes of Spring Mountain overlooking the Napa Valley, Newton Vineyard is blessed with a unique diversity of soils, exposures and elevations that create an exceptional winemaking environment. Newton’s mature vineyards are steeply terraced and carefully dispersed among the natural landscape and great care is taken to protect the estate. This wine is a blend of mainly Merlot with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. There are aromas of blackberries and blueberry jam balanced with thyme, pepper and discreet oak on the nose. A full bodied wine with touches of raspberries and cassis, well balanced by strong tannins and a lingering acidity
