Notes - Riesling grapes were first planted on the Concongella vineyard in 1944 on an area referred to as the Pigsty Block. (Needing to be self sufficient in the early pioneer days, the Best family ran their own pigs). In 1978, the area known as the Olive Grove was planted to Riesling vines as well. A fresh lively wine with crisp acidity and lemon-lime fruit accentuated on the palate. Length and intensity of fruit and varietal aromatics provide the complexity which is the hallmark of Great Western Riesling. An ideal wine with Atlantic salmon, Australian southern whiting or an assortment of canapés, or just to savour on its own.
