Karl Jostock-Thul & Sohn Piesporter Treppchen Riesling Spatlese

Wine information: Weingut Karl Jostock-Thul & Sohn has been family owned for generations and is still a family run business. The winery is run by Karl Jostock-Thul Senior and his son, Ralf. Ralf Jostock has been responsible for the vinification since 1992. The surface area of vineyards owned currently covers 7 hectares, which are spread over Leiwen, Kowerich, Klusserath and Piesport. Here can be found the weathered slate soils on steep slopes as well as light, sandy flinty soils which give Mosel wines their characteristic lightness and elegance. The estate, and in particular the son Ralf, puts special emphasis on wines which are attractive with good structure.

Tasting Notes: Karl Jostock-Thul & Sohn's Rieslings are characterised by lightness and elegance. Elegant spicy and floral Riesling with balanced sweetness.
