Notes - 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 55% Sangiovese. Perfumes of spice and ripe morrello cherries layered with savoury characters. The palate shows superb balance of firm tannins, good acidity and savoury fruit. It is a modern style of Chianti, delectably modern with an outstanding structure, softness and fine aromas. Awarded Tre Bicchieri - Gambero Rosso and 93/100 - Wine Spectator. Food matches - as a rule, food with pronounced taste, dark meat such as beef or lamb, roast or braised game, darkfeathered game such as pigeon or pheasant.
