Notes - This 39-hectare (96-acre) estate, adjacent to Châteaux Margaux and Lascombes, is mentioned in the works of Edouart Feret in 1868, which tell of the existence of land belonging to "La Maison de Noble de La Bégorce" (the noble house of Labégorce) as from 1332, described as "...amongst the most beautiful and best situated in Margaux". In 1989, the Perrodo family purchased this magnificent estate and undertook renovation of the château, as much as for the winemaking aspects of its terroir as for its architectural facets. This newly acquired vitality led to repositioning of the wine, as from 1994, on the Bordeaux market place.
