Vina Estampa is situated in the
Colchagua Valley and is an innovative and award-winning estate, founded by the Gonzalez-Ortiz family in the 1990s renowned for the quality of its red blends. Their philosophy is centred on the art of assemblage, blending two or three varietals to create world-class wines. The Estampa Gold range is created from only the best fruits from the best vineyards to create balanced and sophisticated wines that are blended from four grape varietals. The grapes for this wine are from the Colchagua Valley has an ideal climate for producing red wines. The valley’s warm, dry summers allow ample time for grapes to ripen, creating a smooth, fruity character to its wines.
Vina Estampa Gold Assemblage Syrah is a blend of 59% Syrah, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 2% Malbec. The different wine varieties are vinified separately prior to blending. The Syrah and Cabernet are aged 12 months in micture of new French and American barrels (70:30). The Merlot and the malbec are aged 10 months on second fill French barrels.
Tasting Notes:
Vina Estampa Assemblage Gold Syrah has a deep, concentrated garnet-red colour. The aroma is The aroma is accented by black fruit, reminiscent of blackberry marmalade, as well as earthy and spicy notes. This full-bodied wine has excellent structure that fuses the dense tannins with the toasted vanilla notes which are the result of barrel aging. A long finish with accents of caramel and wild berries.
