In fact, St Helena is acknowledged as the pioneer in establishing premium Pinot Noir for New Zealand. Owners Robin and Bernice Mundy and award winning winemaker Alan McCorkindale are passionate in their dedication to producing exceptional fruit and wines from the vineyard and the continuing development of Canterbury as one of New Zealand's finest wine producing regions. St. Helena only make their single vineyard wines in good vintages.The St.Helena Single Vineyard Merlot from Marlborough is an exquisite wine with a rich ruby colour. Succulent berry fruit and chocolate berry aromas combine with black plum. spicy vanilla and gamey charachters on the palate to produce this full-bodied wine with complex tannins and a long finish.
