Notes - The 18 hectare Villa Gutenberg estate is is located among lush vineyards at the banks of the Rhine River. The vineyards extend from Rüdesheim to Hochheim and all offer different slope angles, soil substrates and micro-climates produce unique and complex wines. In 1978 Sieglinde and Richard Nägler acquired the charming estate and renovated it with loving attention to detail. Since then it has been the primary residence of the Nägler family. In 1999 Richard Nägler and his wife Andrea continued his parents' efforts at the winery. The next generation – Kerstin, Richard and Volker – is ready to take over. Villa Gutenberg's wines are bottled in the “Rhinegau flute“, which is an elegant, antique-green flask with bevelled edges. This is a delivate gentle riesling and has soft, floral notes on the nose leading to a palate with citrus notes, good minerality, well-balanced acidity and a touch of sweetness as one might expect from a kabinett.
