Tasting Notes: Virgin Hills 2002 is dark red, very intense with lively fire red hue. On the nose there are blueberry, raspberry and red plum, slight capsicum / minty notes with generous french oak. The palate shows ripe berries, dark plum, secondary chocolate flavours. Nutmeg and peppery spice. Fresh lingering oak. An ideal companion to tender cuts of lightly seared game. For optimal results decant or aerate this wine half an hour prior to drinking. Will age gracefully for 15 years.
