Notes - Distilled at The Diamond Distillery, Guyana. It is produced using a combination of spirit made in both pot and continuous stills, from the finest sugar cane grown along the banks of the River Demerara. It is matured for 1.5 to 3 years in oak before being blended. The sugar cane produced by this enormous life-giving river makes it the sweetest in the Caribbean. At 57% ABV, it’s the highest ABV dark rum on the market – yet appreciated for its smooth, mellow taste. It has gained a reputation amongst bar-tenders as “the real deal” – an essential cocktail ingredient and respected as a high quality, niche brand amongst the drinks cognoscenti.
Can be enjoyed straight, on ice or with a mixer such as cola or lemonade. Also added as a ‘float’ ingredient to cocktails to give a spicy kick.
