Wine information:
Grand Marnier was created in 1880 by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle. It is a kind of triple sec, made from a blend of Cognacs (51%) and distilled essence of bitter orange. It can be consumed "neat" as a digestif and can be used in mixed drinks and desserts. In France this kind of use is the most popular especially with the Crêpes Suzette and "crêpes au Grand Marnier". Grand Marnier can be used in the Cosmopolitan, Margarita, Side Car, Dirty Harry, Grand Mimosa and B52. Or try the refreshingly different cocktail Grand Esprit Cocktail. Pour 25ml of Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge into a pitcher along with 25ml of elderflower cordial and 175ml of soda water. Top with ice, strawberries and oranges and stir well.
