Notes - The Ragnaud-Sabourin family are growers and also own 50 hectares of vineyards in the Grande Champagne region. The Grande Champagne region is considered to be the best Cognac-producing area of the region. The estate was established in 1850 and the company is currently managed by third and forth generations of the founding family and the continuity of style has been guaranteed by employing the same family as cellarmasters during this period. This is the first time that Ragnaud Sabourin have produced a vintage Cognac under the stringent control of the Official Cognac Bureau. 1988 was an outstanding vintage and this limited series of 2200 bottles was kept sealed in a lock vault by Ragnaud-Sabourin until they considered it ready for release. In this year -September 17th 1988, Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea, open.
