Molinari Extra is a super premium quality Sambuca. A sweet, strong liqueur produced from the distillation of star anise seeds. Sugar and natural aromas are added creating a unique recipe that the Molinari family jealously guard. It can be drunk straight, with "the fly" (three coffee beans), with ice, or straight from the freezer. It is excellent to "lace" an espresso coffee or mixed with grapefruit juice. In 1968 Molinari's Sambuca was granted its "Extra" designation for "characteristics which distinguish Molinari from its competitors."
