Tasting Notes: Louis Jadot Santenay Clos de Malte is a rich and structured wine. It is elegant and fresh, giving off fruity aromas, is lemon-scented and slightly woody.
Food & Wine match: The wine is very elegant and compliments scallop pieces simply fried and scattered with mushrooms.
Reviews:
"One of my favourite entry-level wines, this has a lovely nose of white peach and apricot blossom, something that takes me down to New Zealand for some reason! The palate is well balanced with a rounded entry: red apples, a touch of almond and a faint twist of sour lemon that leads to a well-defined steely finish. Good value. Recommended. Tasted January 2011." 89 Points, Robert Parker
"Smoke, tropical fruit and apple, plus some blossom and tangy citrus fruit. Delicious, all the class of a Puligny, elegant but forthright." (RH) 17 Points, Jancis Robinson
