Notes - Mauro Vanucci is at the helm of a small family business that is as forward thinking as any Estate in Italy. His ultra-modern cantina includes 100% new barrels every year, air conditioning and even a humidifier. The 8.5 ha of land are planted with Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot high up in the hills of Carmignano overlooking Florence. The wines are bound by fine, polished tannins, are full of sweet ripe currant fruit and notes of herbal Sangiovese characteristcs and easily rival the famous ‘Super Tuscans’ for both price and quality.A blend of 70% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. Absolutely stunning. A deeply concentrated plethora of crushed currant and hedgerow fruit flavours, though this is very ripe and lush it also has an invigorating seam of acidity and a thread of delicious savoury Sangiovese characteristics of wild herb on the finish.
