Notes - The Best's Victoria range punches above its weight. The wines are predominantly produced from St Andrew's fruit, which is harvested in the cool of the night then transferred 108 nautical miles as the crow flies south to Concongella for crushing, vinification, maturation, blending and bottling. The Victoria wine range is eminently approachable as young wines and generally excellent with Asian cuisine. A sweeter style white wine that displays distinct Muscat aromas with a sweet peach and melon palate and a crisp, clean finish. This wine is ideal to serve lightly chilled as an aperitif or to accompany desserts, especially pastry with poached fruits. It may even accompany pate, soft cheeses or serve icy cold with a hot, spicy curry. The label design is based on a certificate awarded to Best’s for “One of the Highest Diplomas at the Melbourne International Exhibition, 1880 – 81 for Colonial Wines” and depicts all Victorian flora which grow on Best’s estates.
