Morton Estate The Mercure Cabernet / Merlot

Notes - The successful Mercure blend has slowly evolved since its creation in 1998. The variety mix of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon has varied through the years depending on season variations and style development. Complex fruit of raspberries, pomegranate, tobbacco-leaf and subtle cassis lure the nose. These attributes are woven around subtle vanilla as a result of 12 months maturation in French and American oak. The palate is rich and powerful with lingering grainy tannins.
