Wine information:
The history of Tosolini grappa begins after World War II, when Bepi Tosolini dedicated himself to perfecting the art of grappa production. A passionate cultivator of his land’s traditions and a revolutionary in his field, Bepi was the first to obtain a clear, limpid distillate through an innovative ageing process in ash barrels. Using only the freshest premium grapes, Bepi achieved a final product with an exceptional aroma, flavour and smoothness that has forever transformed grappa into an elite drink for the most refined palates. Today, Bepi Tosolini represents the highest expression of quality in the grappa sector. Most is made using only the freshest and highest quality Fruilian destemmed and crushed grapes which are then left to ferment in ash wood vats (chosen to help produce a pure and transparent distillate). Distillation then takes place in copper still in a discontinuous cycle, which was invented by Bepi Tosolini more than 50 years ago in order to guarantee the continuity of the flavours and aromas of the particular grape harvest. The result is an acquavite with a delicate, aromatic bouquet that remains on the palate with a dry aftertaste. Presented in an elegant hand blown glass bottle Distilled from picolit grapes. Intense and lingering; there is a note of violet in the attack, followed by acacia blossom; the long finish centres on a faint but persistent note of white peach. Aged in stainless steel with a brief spell in ash barrels.
