Les Flacons Terre D'Amandiers Saveurs D'Elite

Notes - This 100% Chardonnay is one of the top wines from Maurel Vedeau. It is comprised of grapes from three individual different wine-growing areas within the Pays d'Oc (the Haute Vallée de l'Hérault, Nord biterrois and the zone du bassin de Thau). It is barrel fermented in French oak, 60% new and 40% first, second and third-fill barrels. Quite an oaky Chardonnay, but well integrated. On the nose there are hints of acacia, peach and lemon-citrus notes. These follow on to the palate which has more of the same but also flavours of spice, honey and vanilla. Try lobster or other rich shellfish or small purple artichokes!
