Tasting Notes: Hope Estate Shiraz is a ruby to dark red colour. It has aromas of spicy pepper and nutmeg, concentrated blackberry characters with damson plums and chocolate. The oak fermentation and maturation further enhanced the peppery and spicy characters of the wine. Whilst open fermentation has increased the fruit intensity and warm colours of the Shiraz. Hope Shiraz has a smooth, juicy palate with intense berry fruit. Rich mocha and spicy plums lead to an earthy finish. Soft, defined oak characters combined with silky tannins give the wine complexity and great length.
Food & drink match: Hope Estate Shiraz will complement garlic and olive oil of Italian cuisine or alternatively traditional roast beef. Drink now or leave to develop for up to 10 years.
