Chateau La Tour De Mons

Wine information: Château La Tour de Mons, archaically named Tour de Marsac, is a winery and wine from the appellation Margaux, located in the Left Bank of the Bordeaux wine region of France, in the commune of Soussans. The wine was rated Cru Supérieur in the Cru Bourgeois classification of 1932, and through later revisions until the temporary annullment of the classification in 2007. The vineyards extend to 35 hectares and are planted with 45 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. The wine is aged for 12 months in small oak barrels, 30% of which are new.

Tasting Notes: Chateau La Tour De Mons 2006 is a racey wine with a black fruit scented nose (cherry, blackberry), meaty and delicious mouth-feel with elegant woody touches and a long cacao finish.
