Notes - This wine is declared only in very good years and is made in the traditional way. Having spent 18 months in oak casks, the wine is allowed to develop in the bottle, it will throw a deposit and need decanting. The Silval Vintage combines power, complexity and concentration with a forward, fruity style making it approachable when quite young. Varietal Composition - Touriga Nacional; Tinto Cão; Touriga Francesa; Tinta Roriz; Tinta Barroca. The wine was made from grapes of Quinta do Noval and other selected grade A vineyards in the Cima Corgo in the heart of the Douro Valley. Opulent and rich, with extraordinary aromas of very ripe red fruit, and in particular, notes of black cherry, or even prune.
