Tasting Notes - Chateau Lassègue has produced superb wines since the 17th century, and this stunningly ripe and rich Grand Cru is no exception. The chateau is located in the choice hilly part of the appellation, close to famous chateaux Ausone and Angelus. Lassègue’s vineyards are planted mainly to Merlot and Cabernet Franc, with a little Cabernet Sauvignon. Perfumed and opulent, with blackberry, vanilla and mushroom aromas. Full-bodied and intensely tannic, with a velvety texture and a long, succulent aftertaste. Slightly astringent.
