Tasting Notes: Trapiche Single Vineyard Malbec Fausto Orellana de Escobar has a red-purple color and a strong mineral character, punctuated by graphite and ink notes. The nose is intense and perfumed with violet and black pepper. Concentrated and juicy in the mouth, with tastes of bright fruit such as blackberries, currantes and morello cherries. The finish is intense, long and lingering with ripe tannins.
Food & Wine match: Ideal to serve with dishes prepared with red meats and game cooked, hard cheeses and smoked cold cuts.
Reviews: "The 2007 Malbec Single Vineyard Vina Fausto Orellana de Escobar was sourced from a 61-year-old vineyard. It is broader, sweeter, and richer than its colleagues. Nicely structured, elegant, and lengthy, it will offer prime drinking from 2012 to 2022. 94pts." Robert Parker
