Wine information:
Tequila was probably the first spirit to have been produced in the new world, and like Cognac, it must originate from a small, delimited region of the world. Produced from the Tequilana weber blue agave plant, a relative of the lily, Tequila is now generally available as either a mixto (contains the minimum 51% agave plus neutral spirits) or a 100% agave, super-premium type. Aged 100% agave Tequilas are often enjoyed neat in a snifter, while mixtos typically find their way into the most popular Tequila cocktails, like Margaritas. Two Fingers Tequila is made in Mexico's largest family-run distillery from blue agaves grown in the Los Altos region of Jalisco, the ideal climate for growing large flavorful agave plants. In its distinctive black bottle, Two Fingers is available in both gold and silver varieties.
