Zuidam Liqueurs are still made in the traditional artisanal way. All ingredients are selected and processed into the most beautiful products in our family owned and run distillery. All recipes are designed by father Fred and son Patrick van Zuidam. Zuidam Chocolate Liqueur is made by macerating cocoa beans in alcohol. After 8 months of maceration the flavours of the cocoa beans are fully integrated into the alcohol. The alcohol is then separated from the cocoa beans and the subsequent extract is blended with extract of Bourbon Vanilla pods sugar and 3 star Cognac. Zuidam use a high proportion of cocoa bean to acheive the rich flavours of dark chocolate. A liqueur for chocolate lovers, it can be served neat, over ice, in cocktails and it also makes a fine ingredient in dessert or even poured over ice cream.
