William Cole Vineyards is locarted in the Casablanca Valley. The modern winery, built in 1999 in the style of the southwest American Indian pueblo, has a capacity of 2.2 million liters provided by 92 stainless steel tanks allowing WCV to fulfill their mission to produce the finest possible wines using modern technology and meticulous attention to every processing detail. In Spanish, a "mirador" is a tower or lookout from whence one can see a great distance and is one of the pricipal design features of the winery. The Mirador Selection range is composed only of single varietal wines and strives to display the purity of each single varietal in both aroma and flavour. The grapes for the Mirador Selection Chardonnay are sourced from the
Casablanca Valley situated 45km from the pacific Ocean. The cool microclimate allows the fruit to obtain optimum maturity and retain natural acidity important in the production of high quality wines.
Tasting Notes:
William Cole Vineyards Mirador Selection Chardonnay is is medium gold in colour. On the nose, the wine shows notes of toast and butterscotch along with tropical aromas. On the palate, the wine has a wonderful balance of tropical fruit flavours and finishes with tight acidity and excellent persistence.
