Wine information:
Boschendal (Bossendaal means wood and dale) farm, is one of the oldest wine producers in the New World with a French viticultural heritage dating back to 1685. The Boschendal vineyards cover an area of 254 hectares. Geographically they extend for six kilometers along the slopes of the Groot Drakenstein Mountain towards the Dwarsriver, to the slopes of the Simonsberg Mountain. Made from predominantly Merlot with some Ruby Cabernet, the Boschendal Rosé displays aromas of ripe summer-fruit flavours, including red cherry and strawberry fruit. The palate is smooth and off-dry again reflecting ripe, red-fruit flavours.
