Notes - The original German Weisser Riesling is described as the 'King of White Wines'. This wine has a medium straw-colour with a yellow/amber tinge. A high glycerol content is noticeable. The nose is open, fruity and fragrant. Apricots and peach kernels are fresh and inviting. It is complex with botrytis character evident. On the palate it is reminiscent of the finest German Trockenbeerenauslese wines, a complex and concentrated mouthful of fruit, acid and sweetness. The fruity (peaches, dried fruit, apricot) characteristics of the nose are carried through to a long finish, with a harmonious balance between acid and sugar, which is always elegant and never cloying.
