Villa Maria Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot

Wine information: Both the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot fruit was sourced entirely from Villa Maria's Ngakirikiri Vineyard situated in the Gimblett Gravel's Growing Region in Hawke's Bay. This unique area is fast being recognised for producing consistently high coloured and full flavoured Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot wines. This a wine rich in texture, bright in flavour and beautifully focused, exhibiting perfumed blackberry, plum, black-olives and floral violet attributes. Concentrated and well balanced, this wine displays ripe and chewy textured tannins, which provide substantial structure and length. Ideal with intense and highly textured red meat and pasta dishes. Also is an ideal accompaniment to richly flavoured cheeses.
