Vina Estampa Assemblage Gold Carmenere

Wine information: Vina Estampa is a premium Chilean wine producer and pioneer and avant-gardist in the expression of the art of Assemblage, the art of combining two or more noble varieties so that each contributes its best characteristics to our wines. Vina Estampa has more than 400 hectares of vineyard divided among three properties, planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carménère and Syrah, which serve as the base for the assemblages. The vineyards also include blocks of Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah and Viognier to increase the character and complexity of the wines. Vina Estampa Gold range is created from only the best fruits from Estampa's vineyards to create balanced and sophisticated wines that are blended from four grape varietals. The Gold Assemblage Carmenere is actually a blend of Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvigon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

Tasting Notes: Vina Estampa Assemblage Gold Carmenere is well balanced and characterized by good structure, acidity and mature, concentrated fruit. Sweet raspberry is accented by nuances of soy sauce, and spice. Aging in french oak barrels adds complementary notes of toast and pencil shavings preceding a lasting finish.
