Chateau Louvie St Emilion Grand Cru

Notes - Chateau Louvie is located in the district of Saint Laurent des Combes. The estate belongs to Christian Veyry, who is also the owner of Chateau Veyry in Côtes de Castillon. A winegrower’s son, he is a talented wine-maker and consultant-oenologist for many famous Châteaux of Bordeaux and Cahors. It is a 80 % Merlot and 20 % Cabernet Franc, from 35 year old vines. The wine is aged 12 months in oak barrels. The wine is meaty, silky and ripe with copious aromas of ripe black fruits, there are supple, slightly woody, tannins. Try with grilled meats, game or cheese.
