Notes - Full ruby red. Dark chocolate, bramble, cherry, raspberry and spice, typical of Pinot Noir grown under cool, humid conditions. There are also some nutty, coffee and toasty French oak aromas followed by perfumed violets, sour cherries, delicate gamey and forest floor aromas will further develop with bottle age. Although this wine needs time to allow the full integration of the French oak with young wine flavours, it has very good balance of fruit flavours, alcohol and acidity. The palate has sweet opulent and concentrated blackberry and cherry flavours and finishes fresh with fine ‘cats tongue’ tannins. It has sufficient weight and power to improve with age for up to 10 years. Food Suggestions - barbequed boned quail with blackcurrant jus, Chinese style roast duck, soft-ripened cheeses like Brie or Camembert.
