Wine information:
Wyndham Estate is located in the
Hunter Valley in NSW, Australia. It is a two hour drive North of Sydney. Wyndham Estate is the birthplace of Australian
Shiraz -- it is the home of
George Wyndham's original estate. It is named after George Wyndham, who became the father of Australian Shiraz after planting Australia’s first commercial Shiraz vineyard in 1830. The winemaking team are passionate about scouring Australia for the best quality grapes. In the months preceding vintage, they closely monitor a selection of premium vineyards situated in various winegrowing regions throughout South Eastern Australia.
Wyndham Estate BIN wines are multiregional blends, with fruit sourced from amongst Australia’s premium viticultural regions. Created to be enjoyed now, Bin wines will also reward short term cellaring. The Bin range of wines reflects the full, intense fruit style for which Wyndham Estate is famous. High quality parcels of Shiraz are selected, predominantly from
South Australia, which are then fermented over 10 – 12 days in a combination of static and rotary fermenters. Attention to cap management regime and temperature control has maintained the Wyndham Estate Bin 555 Shiraz characteristics of softness and generous flavour coupled with great drinkability. A selection of American and French oak hogsheads was used for the maturation of selected wine parcels for a period of 12 months prior to blending and bottling.
