Torres Vina Sol Tempranillo DO Catalunya

Wine information: The Torres family has been making wine in the ancient Catalán town of Vilafranca del Penedès, south-west of Barcelona, since the 17th Century. It is this tradition combined with innovation, dynamism and commitment to quality that has put Torres firmly on the world map. In 2006 Torres were awarded European Winery of the Year in Wine Enthusiast's Annual Wine Star Awards. This 100% Tempranillo from Cataluyna is a beautiful and intense ruby red colour. The nose is fantastic with notes of black cherry, re berries and fresh fruity aromas. The palate is full of berry fruits and spice and its plump, plummy style closes with a bold and earthy finish. Try with sausages, lamb or anything barbequed this summer.
