DH Krahn Gin 40% (Corn Spirit Base)

Wine information: DH Krahn Gin is a super premium gin that was launched in 2006 by Dave Hughes and Scott Krahn. It is a classic London Gin style with distinctive citrus notes obtained from macerating and re-distilling neutral spirit with only 6 specially chosen botanicals in a patent French-made Stupfler pot still (the so-called Rolls-Royce of copper Alembic stills). It is distilled using a blend of Italian junioper berries, Moroccan coriander seed, Florida oranges, California lemon and grapefruit and Thai ginger. The gin is also allowed to sit for three months after distilling in stainless steel vats to allow the gin to mellow prior to bottling. It is citrusy, soft and dry, with mild spice, there are heavy juniper notes on the finish. This elegant gin also has a touch of sweetness to the palate.
