Chateau Lassègue

Wine information: Chateau Lassègue has produced superb wines since the 17th century, and this stunningly ripe and rich Saint Emilion Grand Cru is no exception. The chateau is located in the choice hilly part of the appellation, close to famous chateaux Ausone and Angelus. Lasségue’s vineyards are planted with 45% Merlot 35% Cabernet Franc 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. A great year for Lassègue; ripe and rounded Merlot fruit, generous and weighty.

Tasting Notes: Chateau Lassegue 1998 has a deep colour, exudes Merlot fruit on the nose and is deliciously round and full of generous ripe fruit in the mouth but with full but elegantly soft tannins. Perfumed and opulent.
