Wine information:
Paul Fürst took over the estate on the sudden death of his father in 1975 whilst he was still studying at Geisenheim. At the time he inherited 6 acres, today there are 37 acres. Twenty seven of which are in the Bürgstadter Centgrafenberg, a prime south facing site of weathered sandstone over loam. All vineyard work is done by hand cutting back foliage for good air circulation and thinning fruit for low yields. The Müller Thurgau, Silvaner and Riesling are crystal clear and pure with a silky palate true to terroir and varietal. Paul Fürst was named Winemaker of the Year by Gault Millau publications in 2003, the third of our German growers to be awarded this prestigious title.
