Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Arcadia Vineyard Chardonnay

Wine information: Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is a private Napa Valley estate that has been owned by the Winiarski family since it was established 1972, located at the end of the Silverado Trail, in what is now known as the Stags Leap District. The Chardonnay for this wine is from SLWC's Arcadia Vineyard. As fragrant and lively as a spring day, the Arcadia Vineyard Chardonnay's vivid perfume, elegant balance, and bright acidity are all evident in the 2005 vintage. The characteristic bouquet of jasmine tea is accented with a hint of candied lemon zest, while in the mouth there’s bright apple and citrus flavours, a slightly creamy texture, and a signature flinty note. Smooth yet crisp, the wine offers great purity of flavour all the way through the lingering finish, which is accented with hints of vanilla and biscuit. It’s a perfect companion for a lightly battered vegetable tempura or a mixed green salad topped with seared scallops.
