Tasting Notes - Fruit was sourced from a range of vineyards in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys. The combination of soils and climate from each of the vineyards provided the various components of the final blend and produced the characteristics typical of Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes from each vineyard were harvested and fermented separately in individual tanks. A neutral yeast and cold fermentation were employed to preserve all of the lovely fruit characters found naturally within this grape variety. Once the ferments had finished, the wines were blended, gently fined, filtered and bottled immediately to retain freshness. Intense and ripe, herbaceous and tropical, this wine shows lots of flavour and a natural fruit acid that gives a zingy freshness and lingering palate. Food Match:
