Notes - North America's only single malt whisky! Glen Breton Rare Canadian Single Malt Whisky is the only single malt whisky produced in Canada. The Glenora Inn & Distillery is located at Glenville, Inverness County, Nova Scotia, Canada. The Glenora Distillery, with an annual production of 250,000 litres of whisky, is the only single malt distillery in North America. The Distillery started production in June 1990. The Whisky is produced in traditional copper pot stills method using only three ingredients: Barley, Yeast and Water. It is an aromatic whisky with a pleasing golden-yellow colour with hints of amber and orange. The nose is medium-bodied, pleasantly fiery, and offers a tight combination of butterscotch, heather, honey and ground ginger with elongated, wood-infused undertones. The flavour is light to medium-bodied with a noticeable alcohol expression. The palate is creamy with a good flow of toasty wood, almond, caramel and a subtle suggestion of charcoal and earthy peat. The finish lingers, ending with a quick bite of light, raw wood. Adding a thimble full of spring water balances the initial hit of alcohol and softens the nose by bringing forward the fresh, fruit essence of orange, citrus and sweet grain.
