Simon Hackett Foggo Road Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon

Notes - Winemaker’s Tasting Note - "Thrilling dense red with almost opaque purple edges. Very big, complex, rich nose. Not for the faint hearted. Concentrated essence of blackberry and cassis. Layers of fruit inciting, sweet, toasty oak. The palate has a big entry. Full, rich, ripe berry fruit, filling all corners of the mouth. Blockbuster Cabernet characters barely cordoned by tight-grained oak. Strawberry yogurt and hazelnut show on authoritative finish. All round a very complex, tightly structured wine with great potential for maturation, although very drinkable now." Serving Suggestions - Serve with rich red meats, game, casseroles and stews in particular, beef or pheasant dishes. Also good with mature hard cheeses and stilton.
