Notes - Founded by Adriano Ramos Pinto in 1880, this Port house has always had a pioneering spirit. In the early 20th century, it became noted for its innovative and enterprising commercial strategies. It began selling to the Brazilian market and quickly became responsible for half of the Port wine exported to South America. In 1990, Ramos Pinto became part of the Champagne Louis Roederer group, which shares a similar family owned history, and has since enjoyed significant investment and further improvements in quality. Today, continuing the pioneering tradition, Joćo Nicolau de Almeida is in charge of the winemaking. The 1982 Ramos Pinto is some 70% Tinta Barocca.
